Zimbabwean TV Show – Gringo
Coverage in the media has kept the nation together for the longest time. We are united by the radio broadcasters that give us the news early in the morning before work, and late in the day before we go to bed. They play the music that gives us twinkle feet. We have the TV stars that keep us attached to the big screens, and the newspapers that we buy every morning before work that we find some great comics in and puzzles that steal our time.
We have had some great radio broadcasters, in the 90s, Erick Knight was the reason others tuned into Radio 2 all day just to listen to his legendary voice. On the television, we had some unforgettable characters that we may never forget. Gringo and Paraffin got the whole nation laughing. You didn’t need to have a TV to know about them. Some of the drama series would just air on the radio, but that was enough for us without TVs.
From the TV stars to the radio entertainers, we will get into the newspapers that we favor the most like the Herald. This is the section that gets us attached to the roots of Zimbabwean media.
The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Cooperation has done a great job and we thank them for supplying us with these unforgettable legends, on TV and radios.
